Our History

On August 15, 2004, the congregation voted to invite Pastor Shen Lin as the pastor of the church. Pastor Lin was formally ordained as Rev. Lin by ST Paul Synod of Evangelical Lutheran Church of American (ELCA).

June 1, 2003, Minister Lin Qiu resigned due to his health. Minister Shen Lin was invited to be the interim pastor.

October 2001, Minnesota Faith Chinese Lutheran Church (MFCLC), was established as a congregation under the St. Paul Synod of ELCA.

November 1998, *(1) Minister Lin Qiu became the mission developer of FCF, and the ministry continued to mature and grow.

In December 2007, Pastor Qiu was formally ordained as Rev. Qiu at Chinese Lutheran Church of Honolulu, Pacifica Synod of ELCA.

On September 8, 1996, *(2) Minister Dorcas Wang, a mission developer, starts the service of Faith Chinese Fellowship (FCF) at St Anthony Park Lutheran Church.

St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church, the St. Paul Area Synod, the ELCA Regional Division for Outreach and the World Mission Prayer League (WMPL). FCF was supported by a five-partner coalition, the Hospitality Center for the Chinese, St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church, the St. Paul Area Synod, the ELCA Regional Division for Outreach and the World Mission Prayer League (WMPL).

Early in the 1990's, a Bible study group was formed for Chinese Christians and seekers at Luther Seminary.
